Beezy first met David Bowie when the latter arrived to interview him for Modern Painting magazine. When Beezy suggested they paint together, rather than sit down for a formal interview, a great collaboration was born. The two went on to produce more than 50 paintings and drawings together, some of which were exhibited in London and New York in 1995-1996. Collaborative works were included on David Bowie's solo shows at the Gallery in Cork Street, London, in April 1995 and at the Daniel Thorens Gallery in Basel, Switzerland, in May 1996.
