This body of work was based on the belief that we all once could fly and we simply need to learn how to fly again, like learning to walk again after an accident. It symbolizes the angelic in us, the spiritual side of our lives.

These works were executed in paintings, multimedia prints and a performance called 'Blue Zulu', performed in collaboration with the eminent theatre director Brett Bailey (no relation) with a pre-recorded song composed and sung by Beezy, who was painted blue and naked with silk wings, leaping onto a stage of which Brett's team of actors were assembled. This was a once-off performance at the Durban Art Galley Red Eye function in 1999.
